Alpine Skiing

With so many hills, how do you choose? You have Mount Bohemia for the steeps and glade skiing, the grooming doesn't get any better then at Marquette Mountain, and if your looking for steep runs Mt. Ripley should be considered. If you want a little of everything try skiing Porcupine Mountains State Park. With good natural snow, tree skiing, cheap tickets, and the best views in the midwest it is one of our favorite hills. Pick a weekend and head for the "Porkies"- you won't be disappointed.

MONT RIPLEY - Across the Portage Canal from our Houghton store, Mont Ripley has an average snowfall over 250", powder days are abundant all winter long. This ski area focuses on freeriding, racing and powder.

MARQUETTE MOUNTAIN SKI AREA - Five minutes from our Marquette store and you can be ripping it up in one of the best terrain parks in the midwest! We have a full service shop with overnight ski and snowboard tune ups, and we have complete snowboard, alpine ski, tele ski, and nordic ski departments.

Former employee of the year JD Disney sports a new look!  JD has been rippin' up the backcountry at Jackson Hole, Wyoming this winter and has discovered big drops!  This is the result of driving your knee cap through your eye socket after taking a 50 foot drop.  Rumor has it JD is alright and already back at it !  Nice job Smart Boy!
